“We booked a two night stay at the Swan's Nest. It is obvious the hotel is going through a refurb, as there were workmen outside working on the various entrances. So the ground floor was a little dusty from the work, but easily forgiveable as the hotel is obviously refreshing itself. The reception/lobby area obviously has received the benefit and looks fabulous. And the Bistrot was equally visually lovely. “Nice hotel, lovely bathroom and very clean simple room. Everything was great, and would happily stay there again. However, the pillows are the worst pillows I've ever had in a hotel. Thin, solid and lumpy. I asked for another one for both of us, but they only had 1 extra left. The extra made it too much, I ended up using my towel to prop up my pillow!”

“We enjoyed a four night midweek stay at this beautiful property. The decor is truly stunning throughout the hotel , the restaurant excellent and staff attentive and helpful. The grounds are extensive and beautiful and the hotel is situated in a very rural area with plenty of interesting places to visit within easy driving distance. “Hotel was just okay. Facilities were not too bad and rooms were clean. Hotel staff are well below par, they seem more interested in their phone than they do in serving you. Whilst I waited to be served at the bar I was amazed to see that it took three people to pour one pint of lager, one doing the job and two watching, it took a fourth person to come out and suggest someone served me before I could get a drink.
